Riva continues to grow its team

We're pleased to introduce Fredrik Klingvall, who joins Riva Money as our new Head of Finance.

He brings extensive experience in leading global finance functions and scaling operations in high-growth environments — expertise that will be central to our next phase of growth.

But who is Fredrik beyond the job title?

We asked him four quick questions to help you get to know him better.

What do you find most exciting about the payments industry right now?

We're witnessing a wave of innovation that's reshaping the payments landscape. New players are leveraging blockchain technology and stablecoins to challenge incumbents and drive faster, cheaper, and more transparent cross-border transactions.

Why are you excited to join Riva at this stage?

I'm joining at a pivotal time — we're gearing up to go live in Q3, and it's exciting to be part of a team shaping the business in real time as we prepare for launch and scale globally.

What will you be focusing on in your role as Head of Finance?

I'll be focused on further developing and scaling our financial operations to ensure they are fit for purpose as we expand across new markets and accelerate growth.

And, true to startup life, I'll be wearing many hats — from supporting go-to-market efforts to helping build awareness of Riva in the market.

And finally, what do you enjoy outside of work?

I'm curious by nature and I recently read some of the foundational works in economics, which offer great insights into markets and human behavior that still resonate today.

Outside of books, I'm an avid traveller. I enjoy immersing myself in new cultures, connecting with people, and observing how different societies use technology in unique ways to solve local challenges.
