Welcome Leonardo Fernandes

We're delighted to welcome Leonardo as the newest member of our sales team at Riva. With a focus on business development in Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking countries, Leonardo will play a key role in strengthening our presence and building lasting client relationships as we expand our global footprint.
To introduce him beyond the job title and give you a sense of who he is, we asked Leonardo three quick questions about what drives him, how he approaches sales, and what he enjoys outside of work.
What excites you most about being part of Riva?
Being right in the middle of the transformation of the payments industry. At Riva, we're challenging the incumbents in a space where the customer value from new technologies is crystal clear.
Add to that the fast-moving, dynamic environment of the team — it's an inspiring place to be.
What's one thing about sales you've learned that always sticks with you?
It might sound like a cliché, but listening really does beat talking.
The better you understand a client's needs, the stronger and more lasting the relationship becomes — and that's what builds long-term trust and success.
What do you enjoy outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in nature — I love both the mountains and the sea. Being outdoors gives me a sense of belonging and purpose. I like to stay active with exercise and long walks, and I also enjoy eating out.
And of course, I appreciate my beer and popcorn too — it's all about balance!
